Experience 1,100 years of Great British history in one of England's finest medieval fortresses.

Set in the heart of Shakespeare’s England with fascinating architecture and amazing views in 64 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, Warwick castle is the ultimate backdrop for breathtaking shows that bring history vividly to life.

Witness the world’s largest working catapult launch a cannonball 150ft into the air in The Mighty Trebuchet Show and marvel at the skill and agility of the archer in The Bowman Show. Plus, experience the fun of real history in the live action jousting show telling the story of the greatest battle in English history with thrilling stunts and special effects.

Full day. Allow at least 4 hours, however there is a lot to see and do at Warwick Castle - plenty to keep you occupied for the whole day!

Important information

Disabled Access Warwick Castle was built as a medieval fortress and as such has a number of steps, narrow passageways and low doorways which can present a challenge to guests with reduced mobility. All shows take place outside and are fully accessible. The last four rooms of the Castle Dungeon attraction are fully accessible and available free of charge to wheelchair users and one carer, The Castle Dungeon is dark with spiral stairs so may be unsuitable for some guests with reduced mobility or certain medical conditions. The Great Hall, State Rooms, Chapel and Warwick’s Royal Weekend Party have 10 steps to the entrance, guests who are able to ascend these steps can use the wheelchair provided located at the top of the steps

Warwick Castle Resort lies at the heart of Britain's motorway network, with easy access from London and Birmingham. Situated in Warwickshire, the Midlands - a day out at Warwick Castle Resort is never far away.

By Car

The Castle is well signposted, and less than two miles from junction 15 of the M40.

Stables Car Park (CV34 4QU) - Just off Castle Lane. Limited express parking - next to the main castle entrance. This is a pay and display car park.
Stratford Road Car Park (CV34 6AH) - On Stratford Road, Warwick. Standard parking - 5 to 10 minute walk to the main castle entrance up an incline. This car park is chargeable at the pay point as you leave the castle (via contactless payment only).
Overflow Car Park Offers standard parking in our overflow field - 15 to 20 minute walk to the main castle entrance up an incline. This car park is seasonal and is chargeable at the pay point as you leave the castle (via contactless payment only).

Car Park Locations: Many of our guests tell us our car parks are too far away from our main entrance. We agree! However, the castle and grounds are protected as a Scheduled Ancient Monument and are Grade I listed. We're committed to conservation and want to maintain the castle and grounds as they were originally designed.

There is a Drop-Off area for those with specific needs. Make yourself known to a member of our Parking Team on arrival, who can direct you. This option is especially useful for those visiting with very young children or mobility requirements.

By Train

Warwick Railway Station is approximately one mile from the Castle. A direct service into London Marylebone (1 hour 45 minutes) or Birmingham Snow Hill is available.

By Bus

Warwick Castle Resort is served by Stagecoach Buss routes.
